Sara Fanucchi, mezzo-soprano

New York mezzo-soprano, Sara Fanucchi has been described by Opera News as a “vibrant, eye-catching presence whenever she was onstage” and as "attractive in sound and person."

She has performed numerous roles including Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Hansel in Hansel und Gretel, the title role in The Rape of Lucretia, and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro. She has performed at Avery Fisher Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, The Players Club, Kaye Playhouse, and St. John the Divine and with companies including Opera New Jersey, Bronx Opera, Garden State Opera, Amore Opera, and dell'Arte Opera Ensemble.  Saraspent two seasons as a young artist with Opera New Jersey andholds a Masters of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music.

She is also a graduate of Oberlin College and Conservatory where she received both a Bachelors of Music in voice and a Bachelors of Arts in environmental studies.
